MANEUVER

MANEUVER

A skateboarding congressman and the wrong federal agent.

Slow Burn Forced Proximity

Synopsis

I didn't ask to be a congressman. The incumbent disappeared, the alternate got arrested, and suddenly the guy who accidentally projected a "Congressional Hotness Rating" spreadsheet on the giant congressional screen was me. Arthur Pereira became a federal congressman by accident. He thinks in Excel, skateboards through the halls of Congress, and three days before taking office, kissed a stranger on a turbulent flight convinced he was going to die. He didn't die. Worse, the stranger reappeared in his office with a Federal Police badge and a folder with Arthur's name on the cover. From there, the week only gets worse. A corruption scheme the size of Brasilia, his entire adoptive family invading the city to protect Arthur, four cats named after philosophers, and Mateus. Quiet, competent, taking care of him like it's his job. Lying since the plane. They're both dancing around the only conversation that matters. Because Mateus learned Arthur's name from a case file before he learned his mouth. And when that comes out, there won't be a spreadsheet column to calculate the damage. Romantic comedy meets political thriller. Starts with laughs, ends with a gut punch. What You'll Find - MM romance, slow burn, forced proximity - the suspect and the cop who should be impartial - chaotic chosen family and four philosopher cats - steamy scenes and guaranteed happy ending Standalone novel. No cliffhanger and guaranteed happy ending. For readers who loved Red, White & Royal Blue and Heartstopper. On skateboards, in Brasilia.
